I am looking for a temperature controller so that I can maintain a constant 37°C in a petri dish. This application would require internal immersion heaters.
Answer
Your selection of an appropriate temperature controller will depend upon the immersion heater’s maximum current requirement. For instance, if 5.0 Amps will be required as the maximum current for your heater(s) the PTC5K-CH or MPT5000 would probably be reasonable choices. If you require less current, in the range of zero to 2.2 Amps, then perhaps the WTC3243, or a similar product may work well for this application.
