What is the Data Used For?

A. Automatically Collected User Information

This information is used to provide increased site functionality, better statistical analysis of web site usage and to locate errors in the site. Wavelength Electronics Inc. only stores a session identifier which allows a set of web page requests to be grouped as one user session for statistical analysis.

B. User Submitted Information

This information is used to fulfill orders, answer user questions and provide additional product information. User submitted information is never linked with any automatically collected information. Information submitted to online design calculators is not stored in any way once the calculations are completed. Credit card information obtained with online orders is stored with the order record.

C. Newsletter Contact Information

Contact information submitted to Wavelength for the purpose of receiving our newsletter will be used only for the newsletter. If you wish to stop receiving our newsletter at any time you may contact us using any of the methods listed on our Contact Us page, by clicking the unsubscribe link in the newsletter, or by entering your email address on the unsubscribe form.

This information is used to fulfill orders, answer user questions and provide additional product information.

Customer information associated with an order will be stored indefinitely to allow notification of service action, recall or other product-related communication. Other customer submitted information may be stored indefinitely.

Who Has Access to the Data?

We will disclose any personal information we have collected if required by law. In addition, Wavelength grants access to employees and/or representatives with a legitimate business purpose as described:

A. Automatically Collected User Information

Wavelength will access this data to prepare reports and analysis for internal use. Google Analytics will access the data to provide statistical analysis. This information is not provided to any other entity in its raw format. Statistics generated from this data may be given to third parties that provide services to Wavelength Electronics Inc., but such third parties may not use the information for any other purpose.

B. User Submitted Information

Customer credit card information is submitted to Volusion and Authorize.net, Wavelength’s payment processors, to capture funds. Customer information associated with an order may be accessed by Wavelength, as well as Wavelength logistics providers (i.e., DHL, FedEx, and UPS) to fulfill that order. Information associated with technical product issues may be accessed by Wavelength to answer questions and resolve issues. This information may be shared with registered Wavelength Electronics Inc. distributors in order to provide a user with better service. Distributors are not allowed to use the information given to them for any purpose not related to Wavelength Electronics Inc. business.

C. Newsletter Contact Information

This information is accessed by Wavelength and MailChimp to produce and distribute the newsletter. Contact information provided for the purpose of receiving the newsletter will not be provided to any other entity.

D. Information from Others

This information is accessed by Wavelength and MailChimp to produce and distribute product information, answer questions and resolve issues. This information may be shared with registered Wavelength Electronics Inc. distributors in order to provide a user with better service.

How is the Data Secured?

Wavelength uses best practices for data security, including encryption, firewall, strong passwords and limited physical access. Once data is stored by Wavelength Electronics Inc. access to such data is restricted through security measures to authorized personnel. Security of data accessed by third parties as described above is governed by their privacy policies.

Should a security breach occur, Wavelength will notify affected customers within 72 hours of determination of the security breach.

User Access to Personal Information

When you register online on our website, you can access your profile information at any time via your secure account login and viewing your account. In most cases you also have access to your order history for any orders you placed through the website.
