Question

I’m using the WTC3243 to drive a TEC using a 10kΩ thermistor. How do I get a measurement of the actual temperature (or something proportional to it)?

Answer

You can monitor the voltage across the thermistor by connecting a digital voltmeter across pins 9 and 13 on the WTC3243 and WTC32ND. To calculate the thermistor resistance, divide the thermistor voltage by the sensor bias current.

Finally, reference the Resistance vs. Temperature table for the 10 kΩ thermistor, which can be found here: TCS610
