LOST OR DAMAGED SHIPMENT:
Contact the common carrier and Wavelength Electronics, Inc. at once. Wavelength Electronics, Inc. is not responsible for loss or damage in transit. Wavelength Electronics, Inc. will supply proof of shipment, thereby creating a legal obligation to pay the original invoice when due.
PRODUCT RETURNS:
In order to facilitate our return process:
RMA (Return Material Authorization) number prior to returning the product.
All service and calibration returns require a customer supplied purchase order prior to receiving an RMA number. Warranty repairs will be credited to the customer’s purchase order.
All returns qualified for credit needs to be made within 30 days of date of invoice and be accompanied by the original invoice number and a brief explanation of the reason for the return. Units must have remained within the original shipping package. Credit only will be applied to customer accounts and no check will be issued.
- Restocking charge is 50% of invoice amount for standard products.
- Custom products are not returnable. Return freight charge must be prepaid. Sorry, C.O.D. returns cannot be accepted.
- Standard calibration and servicing typically requires a minimum of 5 days turnaround time.
WARRANTY:
- Instruments have a One-Year warranty against MFG defects and workmanship.
- Modules and components have a One-Year warranty against MFG defects and workmanship.
- No other warranty is implied.
Wavelength Electronics will pay return shipping for units covered under warranty. All warranties are void if the product is misused, handled in ways other than what is stated in the manuals., or outside the maximum operating range.
PRICES:
Prices are published in the current U.S. Pricing & Ordering data sheet along with custom processing charges. Prices are subject to change without notice and quantities may be limited.
STATE TAX:
Wavelength does not charge tax on products purchased. It is the customer’s responsibility to self-asses taxes if necessary.
CANCELLATION CHARGES:
Cancellation charges are up to 50% of the contract charges prior to shipment.
For customized products refer to custom contract.
NON-CANCELABLE/NON-RETURNABLE (NCNR) AGREEMENT:
Due to the specific nature of Wavelength Electronics, Inc. products and service, certain quantity orders are subject to a NCNR Agreement. Customers will be notified of NCNR Agreement requirements prior to the acceptance of the purchase order.
PAYMENT TERMS:
Payment terms for approved accounts are net 30 days from the date of shipment. C.O.D. or credit card for new accounts without D & B rating. Past due accounts will be charged a 1.5% per month late fee.Visa, Master Card, and American Express are accepted. A credit application may be obtained by calling (406) 587-4910 and talking to any sales representative. When opening an account with us, please allow sufficient time to complete the approval process. To avoid delay in your initial order, you may want to include a check or authorization for C.O.D. We are sorry, but we are unable to process C.O.D. orders to Canadian addresses.
BILLING:
Billing is done on the day of shipment, except for credit card orders which are charged on date of order. The carrier can bill freight charges directly to the customer if requested.
DISHONORED CHECK POLICY:
If a check you give us for payment is dishonored for any reason by the bank or other institution on which it is drawn, you agree to pay us $20.00 as a service charge if the check cannot be redeposited. In addition, you agree to pay any other reasonable charges imposed by any check verification company or collection agency that we may use for collection.
INTERNATIONAL ORDERS:
In addition to the United States and its territories, Wavelength Electronics, Inc. also accepts orders from other countries. All orders of international origin are exported from the U.S. in accordance with the Export Administration Regulations. Diversion contrary to U.S. Law is prohibited. An additional charge of $45.00 will be included for wire transfers. Wavelength Electronics, Inc. cannot accept letters of credit, personal checks or certified personal checks. A cashier’s check in U.S. funds will avoid processing delays; Money Orders and wire transfers can result in delays over 10 days and we accept all major credit cards. A UPS or Fed-X account number is required for all shipments.
LIFE SUPPORT POLICY:
As a general policy, Wavelength Electronics, Inc. does not recommend the use of any of its products in life support applications where the failure or malfunction of the Wavelength Electronics, Inc. product can be reasonably expected to cause failure of the life support device or to significantly affect its safety or effectiveness. Wavelength Electronics, Inc. will not knowingly sell its products for use in such applications unless it receives written assurances satisfactory to Wavelength Electronics, Inc. that the risks of injury or damage have been minimized, the customer assumes all such risks, and there is no product liability for Wavelength Electronics, Inc. Examples of devices considered to be life support devices are neonatal oxygen analyzers, nerve stimulators (for any use), autotransfusion devices, blood pumps, defibrillators, arrhythmia detectors and alarms, pacemakers, hemodialysis systems, peritoneal dialysis systems, ventilators of all types, and infusion pumps as well as other devices designated as “critical” by the FDA. The above are representative examples only and are not intended to be conclusive or exclusive of any other life support device.
SHIPPING INSURANCE:
Shipping Insurance to cover damage or loss is added to all Wavelength Electronics orders, unless the Buyer specifically chooses to reject it. If opting out of Shipping Insurance, the Buyer must either contact a Wavelength Salesperson or indicate this on their Purchase Order. If Shipping Insurance is rejected, the Buyer then assumes all liability for potential shipping damage or loss.
