It delays and slowly ramps the current for maximum protection. Supply up to 2.2 A of current to your laser diode from a single +5 V power source.\u00a0 An evaluation board is available to simplify prototyping:\u00a0<a title=\"WLD33ND-2AEV\" href=\"\/product\/evaluation-pcb-for-wld33nd-2a-2l-laser-diode-driver\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">WLD33ND-2AEV<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>An internal thermostat shuts down the WLD safely if the device temperature exceeds 105\u00b0C. Remotely enable or disable current. Zero leakage current allows operation with VCSELs. Current range is scaled by an external resistor.<\/p>\n<p>To operate from 3.6\u00a0V (for Lithium-Ion batteries) try the\u00a0<a title=\"WLD33ND-HB\" href=\"\/product\/wld33nd-hb-2-2-a-li-battery-laser-diode-driver\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">WLD33ND-HB<\/a>. For 3\u00a0A operation, the\u00a0<a title=\"WLD33ND-3A\" href=\"\/product\/wld33nd-3-a-laser-diode-driver\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">WLD33ND-3A<\/a>\u00a0is available. These drivers have noise above 45 \u00b5A. To drive with lower noise in Constant Current Mode only, the\u00a0<a title=\"WLD33ND-2L\" href=\"\/product\/wld33nd-2-2-a-lower-noise-laser-diode-driver\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">WLD33ND-2L<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a title=\"WLD33ND-3L\" href=\"\/product\/wld33nd-3-a-lower-noise-laser-diode-driver\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">WLD33ND-3L<\/a> drive up to 2\u00a0A and 3\u00a0A, respectively. A circuit calculator tool speeds selection of external component values (see Design Tools tab). Heatsinking solutions to use the\u00a0WLD33ND\u00a0at full current are available.<\/p>\n<p>This laser diode driver is ideal for applications where space is tight.
