Onboard switches, connectors, and trimpots make configuration and operation simple. Input and output cables are also included. For 3 A output, use the\u00a0<a href=\"\/product\/wld3343-3-a-laser-diode-driver\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">WLD3343-3A<\/a>. For lower noise operation use either the\u00a0<a href=\"\/product\/wld3343-2-2-a-lower-noise-laser-diode-driver\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">WLD3343-2L<\/a>\u00a0or\u00a0<a href=\"\/product\/wld3343-3-a-lower-noise-laser-diode-driver\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">WLD3343-3L<\/a>. For lower voltage operation compatible with Li-Ion batteries, the\u00a0<a title=\"WLD3343HB\" href=\"\/product\/wld3343hb-2-2a-li-battery-laser-diode-driver\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">WLD3343HB<\/a>\u00a0can be used. <b>This evaluation board does not include the controller.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Adjust laser diode forward current (Constant Current Mode) or monitor photodiode current (Constant Power Mode) using the 12-turn onboard current setpoint trimpot. Laser Diode current range (200 mA or 2 A) and Photodiode current range (200 \u00b5A or 2 mA) are configurable. It works with A, B, and C type laser diodes. A trimpot configures the laser diode forward current limit. A switch sets mode as either Constant Current or Constant Power. Power it through the terminal strip or using the 2.5 mm circular connector and the\u00a0<a title=\"PWRPAK-5V\" href=\"\/product\/power-supply-8-a-5-v\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">PWRPAK-5V<\/a>,\u00a0<a title=\"PWRPAK-7V\" href=\"\/product\/power-supply-3-a-7-v\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">PWRPAK-7V<\/a>,\u00a0<a title=\"PWRPAK-9V\" href=\"\/product\/power-supply-3-a-9-v\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">PWRPAK-9V<\/a>, or\u00a0<a title=\"PWRPAK-12V\" href=\"\/product\/power-supply-2-5-a-12-v\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">PWRPAK-12V<\/a>\u00a0power supplies. The input cable set allows easy connection to your power supply and monitoring equipment while the output cable set quickly connects to your laser diode and monitor photodiode. High power applications can use the onboard fan connector to power a\u00a0<a title=\"WXC303\" href=\"\/product\/wxc303-5-v-fan\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">WXC303<\/a>\u00a0or\u00a0<a title=\"WXC304\" href=\"\/product\/wxc304-12-v-fan\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">WXC304<\/a>\u00a0(+5 V or +12 V DC fan) attached to a\u00a0<a title=\"WHS302\" href=\"\/product\/whs302-heatsink-for-wxx-controllers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">WHS302<\/a>\u00a0heatsink.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"\/product\/ldmount-5a-butterfly-laser-diode-mount\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">LDMOUNT-5A<\/a>, a 14-pin butterfly laser diode mount with integrated heat sinking, is available for simple connections between the WLD3393 and the laser.<\/p>\n<p>This driver board is widely used in\u00a0<a title=\"electro-optic qualification\" href=\"\/support\/applications\/#goddard\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">electro-optic qualification<\/a>, spectrometers, medical diagnostic equipment, range finders, and on research benches.<\/p>\n<p><b>The prior revision of the board was black.
