The\u00a0WHY\u00a0maintains precision temperature regulation using an active resistor bridge circuit that operates directly with thermistors or RTD temperature sensors. Supply up to 2.2 Amps of heat and cool current to your thermoelectric from a single power supply. Accessories include a heatsink\u00a0<a title=\"WHS302\" href=\"\/product\/whs302-heatsink-for-wxx-controllers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">WHS302<\/a>, thermal washer\u00a0<a title=\"WTW002\" href=\"\/product\/wtw002-thermal-washer-for-wxx-controllers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">WTW002<\/a>, and fans\u00a0<a title=\"WXC303\" href=\"\/product\/wxc303-5-v-fan\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">WXC303<\/a>\u00a0(5 V),\u00a0<a title=\"WXC304\" href=\"\/product\/wxc304-12-v-fan\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">WXC304<\/a>\u00a0(12 V), and an evaluation board\u00a0<a title=\"WHY5690\" href=\"\/product\/evaluation-pcb-for-why5640-temperature-controller\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">WHY5690<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Connect two or more\u00a0WHY\u00a0units together and drive higher output currents. A single resistor or trimpot sets the temperature setpoint. Independent heat and cool current limits are set by single resistors. A single resistor sets proportional gain. A resistor\/capacitor in series sets the integrator time constant.<\/p>\n<p><b>WHY5640 vs.\u00a0<a title=\"WTC3243\" href=\"\/product\/wtc3243-2-2-a-temperature-controller\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">WTC3243<\/a>:<\/b><br \/>\n&#8211; The WTC3243 incorporates remote voltage control and temperature monitor. The WHY5640 does not.<br \/>\n&#8211; The WTC3243 supports AD590 and LM335.<br \/>\n&#8211; The WHY5640 requires external circuits to operate anything other than resistive sensors.<br \/>\n&#8211; Two or more WHY5640s can be used together for more output current.<br \/>\n&#8211; If you do not need all the features of the WTC3243, the WHY5640 is a lower cost solution.<br \/>\n<b>NOTE: The WHY5640 and WTC3243 do NOT have the same pin configuration.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Free, effective, and responsive technical support is available to simplify integration of Wavelength products into your OEM design.
