Many tumors grow faster than blood vessels can form, leading to a lack of oxygen. HIF-1\u03b1 then regulates the creation of new vascular networks. Hence HIF-1\u03b1 can be used to identify tumor aggressiveness, proliferation, and likelihood to metastasize. Researchers from Spain have reported a fluorescent hypoxia biosensor based on the oxygen-dependent degradation domain of HIF-1\u03b1. This probe is stabilized under hypoxia, properly degrades under normoxia, and retains the oxygen sensing capability of HIF-1\u03b1. The developed hypoxia sensor contributes to a deeper view and understanding of the tumor micro-environment that modern imaging techniques cannot provide.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Due to the highly sensitive nature of fluorescence spectroscopy, the spectra were recorded with a fluorometer coupled to Wavelength Electronics&#8217;\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.teamwavelength.com\/maintenance\/product\/lfi3751-5a-digital-temperature-control-instrument\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">LFI-3751 temperature controller<\/a>. Evaluation Boards for these products also have new pin sockets to eliminate the need to solder the module to the board. There will be new part numbers for these upgraded products. The LDTC0520 &amp; LDTC1020 Products will have a new revision as the height increases.<\/p>\n<p>Specifications for the new pin sizes, PCB holes, Evaluation Board heights, and LDTC0520 &amp; LDTC1020 Product heights can be found in the Wxx Product Change Notification.<\/p>\n<p>You will have to make a couple changes to your system:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Change PCB drill diameter for Wxx products<\/li>\n<li>Evaluate the effect of the Evaluation Board height change<\/li>\n<li>Evaluate the effect of the LDTC0520 &amp; LDTC1020 height change<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns.
