This model\u00a0limits laser illumination to specific arterial branches of the cortical surface to induce less damage to\u00a0surrounding tissue by controlling stability of laser output and minimizing infarct variations. Artery-targeted\u00a0photothrombosis shows a clear improvement on traditional methods by creating a larger penumbra for\u00a0a longer amount of time while maintaining the practical results of the traditional model.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.teamwavelength.com\/maintenance\/product\/ldd400p-series-400-ma-laser-diode-drivers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">LDD400-1P<\/a> provided up to 400 mA of current to the\u00a0laser with noise as low as 5 \u03bcA. Laser power stability was\u00a0crucial in controlling the results and minimizing variability\u00a0between test subjects regarding infarct size.
