With all of the Wavelength Electronics temperature controllers, when the actual temperature of the load being temperature controlled is greatly different from the set point temperature, the controller will source up to the maximum current (depending upon configured current limits and any compliance voltage or current limiting considerations) to the driven element. As the actual temperature voltage approaches the set point temperature voltage, the output current from the controller will be ramped back and reduced according to the PID configuration until a semi-steady state current level is maintained at (or very near) the settled, set point temperature. |
