The WLD3343 Laser Driver can be modulated up to 2 MHz (sine wave) in constant current mode. Input waveforms other than a sine wave will have a lower frequency response.
In constant power mode the bandwidth will be significantly lower than when operated in a constant current mode. In constant power mode the bandwidth will depend upon the frequency response of the photodiode (PD) being used in the feedback loop. The PD current is what is used by the driver to control the constant power output current from the WLD3343 driver to the laser diode. Therefore the PD frequency response capabilities play a major role in the bandwidth of the driver when operated in the constant power mode. |
